  Contact printing presses, ad agencies, magazines, newspapers. I don't advertise for interns, but if one calls and I have space I'll let them come in. Good first step though. You learn more through internships than you do at school!!!

      there's a book called 411... you can pick it up at henninsy & ingles on the 3rd st promenade.... it lists all the agencies in LA... just start cold calling and ask if they accept interns.... good luck.
