JOB DESCRIPTION:
New Orleans advertising agency/boutique looking for print production artist / graphic designer. Must have 1-2 years experience in either prepress, publication or agency environment. This person will assist in graphic production for collateral, packaging, display and advertising projects.
ROLES INCLUDE:
• Clipping paths
• Scanning & Color Correcting
• Designing and Laying Out Ads
• Preparing final artwork for print production
• Assisting in assorted production related jobs
SKILLS:
SOFTWARE - Proficiency with Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop. Basic knowledge of Word and Excel. Dreamweaver and Flash not required, but a plus.
GENERAL - Attention to detail. Ability to translate ideas/sketches into art that tells the same story. Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities. Basic understanding of digital and offset printing, preflight, color matching, and troubleshooting.

Fri, June 29, 2007 - 12:58 PMWe filled it already. We had hundreds of applicants!!!!! We finally hired a girl with a master's degree in graphic design. She'll probably teach me a thing or too... Don't tell my boss though!
